Sorry there are no new pics to post. I’ve been taking antibiotics since last week. I’m feeling worse instead of better. I think it’s time to head back to the doctor. I had to cancel two sessions this weekend :(. I’m pretty sick of being sick. Promise I’ll post some pics soon.

Where’d the bushes go?

On Sunday Joe decided to borrow the neighbors truck to remove and haul all the rocks around our bushes. Next thing I know, he’s got a rope tied around the bushes and he’s yanking ‘em out with the truck. He was having SO much fun. Owen, who we thought was napping, climbed up on his window sill to watch the show. The photo above is an *action* shot of one of the bushes being torn out. I gotta admit- it was fun to watch.
Jack is 2, too!

This is Owen’s buddy Jack. He’s just 14 hours older than O. The boys were so excited to go to Jack and Anna’s house. It was such a gorgeous day for a party. Happy second birthday Jack! We had a great time at your party!
First Knothole Game . . .

Isaac moved up to the big(ger) league. He’s playing knothole this year. Today was his first game. It was pleasantly HOT! I even got a sunburn. His team has only practiced twice in the last three weeks due to rain and cold weather. Isacc manned second base. He did a pretty good job. He’s come a long way from catching bugs in the outfield :).
Brooks Carleton . . .

How sweet is that face!? My good friends Kelly and Justin just gave birth to their second son. You may have seen some posts with Owen’s buddy Nico- Brooks is his younger brother. I can’t believe how much the boys look alike! We went to visit late last night so only got a few shots (with flash). I promise there will be more to come! Congrats Kelly, Justin and Nico!
p.s. Kelly wanted me to point out the “A+” on the bassinet right beside Gholz. Brooks is already gifted :).
Well worth the wait . . . meet Addy

This is Addison Grace, the *newest* Speelman. She’s just 40 hours old in these pics. Addy truly is a little miracle. Joe’s brother and his wife went through a lot to bring this little sweetheart into the world. She is absolutely perfect :).
*Playing* this morning . . .

I’m just playing around this morning. I thought I’d share.
edited to add: I didn’t take this photo this morning, I just added some texture and a border to it. FUN!
Gramps is 90!

Another birthday, my grandpa is 90 today! We celebrated last weekend during Easter. My grandpa is truly and amazing man. He makes ninety look mighty good. Here’s a little story he told me last weekend that kind of sums it up. A friend of Gramps’ told him about an article she read in the doctor’s office that he might be interested in. The article was in Glamour Girl magazine (hee hee). Anyway, knowing that he probably wouldn’t get to the store in time to get the current issue of Glamour Girl he decided to just find the article online- and he did. Now , I have friend’s that A. wouldn’t think of looking the article up online and B. wouldn’t know how to do that even if they did think of it. You may remember my post announcing his blog (click here). I can only hope that I have been blessed with Gramps’ longevity and zest for life.
Happy (official) 90th Gramps! We love you!
Owen is 2!

Today is Owen’s birthday. My dad and step mom are also visiting all the way from Montana. It was so nice to see them. There are soooo many miles between us. We don’t get see them often enough. I think Owen had a great day- green balloons, cake and “ribbets” everywhere. He just konked out after a nice sugar high. All the boys loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa and so did I :).
