Family of EIGHT!

Heist.jpg

Here’s a sneek peek of last weekends family of eight.  I was so impressed with how cooperative these kids were (mom and dad too :) ).  It was easy to tell what a close knit family this is.  They have a lot of fun together too!  I just love the family photo of them all laughing.  They made six kids seem easy!

Connor, Logan and Zoe . . . again!

You may recognize this family from last summer.  See their pics from Ault Park HERE.  They are moving away and wanted to get in a session with the whole family.  These three are so easy to photograph and adorable to boot.

Reds Game

I’ve been a bad blogger lately.  Life has just been a little crazy lately.  This past Wednesday the Sycamore Jr. High Boy Choir sang the National Anthem at the Reds game.  They did an incredible job!  Lots of teachers and students showed up for the game.  Joe and I carpooled with my friend Becky and her cute daughter Isabel.  We had such a great time.  The Reds didn’t do so well, but it was a beautiful night.  Isabel and the boys had a lot of fun together too.  Owen was a little upset (as seen above) that there weren’t any Reds flags in the stadium.  Luckily we brought along a flag of our own.

Spring must be here

We broke out the firepit last night.  That’s a true sign of Spring for us.  I love hanging out with the neighbors, watching the sparks fly and smelling the wood burn.  I can’t think of a better way to spend a Friday night.

Jack is three too!

Jacks B-day.jpg

Jack turned three the day before Owen.  Each year I get to relive my irritation after finding out my friend Jodi went into labor with her son before me (even though I was due first).  My exact words are not appropriate for this blog :).  Jodi reminds me of this every year.  Owen and Jack are just 14 hours apart.  They are together all day long at Kim’s.  They act a lot like brothers.  Jack loves pirates like Owen loves flags.  We had a a great time at his pirate party!

Owen is THREE!

My baby is THREE!  It’s so hard to believe.  We celebrated his birthday yesterday while Joe was home.  We had a flag cake, flag tablecloth, flag napkins and red, white and blue balloons (of course).  His gift was a new “shoot” (basketball hoop).  “Shooting” is his second love.  Today he had plenty of flag gifts though.  Bryce and Grant gave him a Colorado and Rhode Island flag.  Kim made him a personalized flag pillow and a personalized flag sippee cup.  After school we made a trip to “Flags USA” and picked up a full-size “Hi-ho” (Ohio) flag.  Owen was beside himself with excitement!

Flag *OBSESSION*

Pantyliner flag.jpg

Most of you are aware of Owen’s facination with flags.  As a matter of fact he is beside me taping a Singapore flag to a pencil (another story for another day).  Anyway, last weekend we met up with our former neighbors, the Ghloz family (blog HERE) and the Mitchell’s for dinner at Pomi’s in Montgomery.  Owen had just awoken from a nap and was not in the best of moods.  His mood took a turn for the worse when he realized that he hadn’t brought any flags with him.  I basically told him to “suck it up”, but neighbor Nancy came to the rescue.  In her true “MacGyver” nature (remember that show), she whipped up a flag using available items.  Can you tell what those flags are made of?  If not, click HERE.  Way to save the day Nancy!  I can’t wait to pull these beauties out at graduation time!  By the way, we had to make one a “Hi-ho” (Ohio) flag and the other a “Merican” flag.  He sleeps with them (along with every other flag he owns).

Levi

I realize this posted is *overloaded* with images, but I had a hard time narrowing them down.  As I mentioned before, this was a new location for me.  April has been a tough (dark) month and my fav photo spots just aren’t looking very “Springy” yet.  Julie, who works with me at Sycamore, suggested Spring Grove Cemetary and I’m SO glad she did.  We found so many incredible little nooks and crannies in that place!  We even found some fresh blooms!  Little Levi was such a great sport- we toted him all over the place and he was such a happy little guy the whole time.

See Levi as a newborn HERE.

Mother Son Dance

dANCE.jpg

Friday night the BIG boys and I went to the St. Vincent Mother Son dance.  We almost didn’t make it.  Joe’s flight was cancelled, but thanks to our neighbor Courtney (who hung out with Owen), we made it.  When I ask the boys if they wanted to go to the dance, Isaac said yes right away.  Truitt was convinced we would only be square dancing and told me he didn’t want to go.  It took a little convincing, but he was very glad he went- especially since there wasn’t any square dancing :) .

Just one for now . . .

I met up with one of my co-workers, Julie, and her “boys’.  It’s been a whole year since I’ve seen Levi.  He’s grown SO much!   We went to an incredible new location.  More to come!
