Patience

This Owen trying so hard to be patient.  He wants to play with the same Lego battleship that his brothers are playing with.  In an attempt to be fair, we struck a deal- the big boys had fifteen minutes to play with the battleship and then it would be Owen’s turn.  Owen chose to sit and stare at the clock on the cable box until that magic number came up- 12:00.  He alerted me every time a minute passed.  Owen is now happily playing with the battleship.

Japanese Drummer

Last night we went to see Isaac’s class perform with a Japanese Drummer who spent the week at school with them as an artist in residence.  It was SO cool!  I was very impressed with the fourth graders- they sounded great!  here is a short video clip from their performance . . .

Who needs a baby fix . . .

. . . I do :).  Nothing fancy, just Elle lounging in her cradle on a Sunday morning.  She’s such a cutie.

Art 8 . . . Self Portraits

It’s been quite a while since I’ve shared student work.  My eighth grade students are working on self-portraits.  They are doing phenomenal work!  I have a great group of students this semester.  It’s so fun to watch their individual styles begin to emerge.

Arghhhh . . . Pirate Ships

Pirate ships are Owen’s latest obsession.  His friend Jack *loves* pirates and they play pirates at Kim’s (Owen likes to be Captain Jack Sparrow).  Of course Owen also loves pirate flags- he even draws them with a skull and crossbones.  He used to draw flags all day long on his Magnadoodle- now he draws flags and pirate ships.

Abby is TWO!

Yesterday the whole family went to Abby’s birthday party.  All of the boys were so excited to see their friends- especially Owen.  We all had a great time!  Thanks for having us Kinasewitzes!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

All of my cuties . . . big thanks to Isaac and Truitt for painting the hearts :).

Isaac

It’s not often that I can “catch” Isaac without a goofy grin.  My little boy is not so little anymore.

Little Miss Macy

This is Macy.  You may remember when I took THIS photo in the hospital when she was born.  She’s grown a lot since then.  Macy is four months old, but is the size of an eight month old!  I have a feeling this little one will be a string bean when she’s older, but for now she’s a roly poly little thing.  Of course after holding Elle who is a smidge over ten pounds (and only two months old), Macy felt like a monster baby to me.  she’s the cutest darn thing!

Elle is two months old (already!)

It’s hard to believe that Elle is already two months old.  She is really staring to have a little personality.  The boys just love making her smile . .  and she loves to show off for them.  She has also begun making little noises.  I wouldn’t say she’s cooing just yet, but I think she’s starting to realize she has a voice.  It won’t be long before she’s trying to talk over her brothers (which won’t be easy).
