Baby Maggie
I was so excited when I got a call from Jodi yesterday- Maggie Justine was born Saturday morning at 10:34am. She weighed in at 6lbs. 7oz and was 19.75″ long. The Kinasewitzes were so hoping to have a Spring Break baby. Little Miss Maggie cut it close, but gave her mom and dad some time to chill out over break before bursting into the world. I stopped in to see her this afternoon, what a gorgeous little girl! Baby Elle is so excited to have a girlfriend just about the same age to hang out with at Kim’s.
Ben Alexander
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Ben Alexander of Waiting on Ben for his upcoming cd release. I teach with Ben’s dad, Paul who is also a member of Waiting on Ben (as well as a really great guy). If you have a free evening I highly recommend catching Waiting on Ben. Click the link above for a calendar of their upcoming events. I’ve been to see them many times with friends and down at Newport on the Levee with my family. It’s a great night out :). Ben has a new cd coming out. I heard a couple of his new original songs at Latitudes in Milford a few weeks back- it’s going to be great cd.
Three from B and one from me . . .
I have some new competition . . . my sister just got her first digital SLR camera. We went to the zoo so she could get a few quick tips from me and try it out. Talk about a natural, the first three photos above are hers and the last one of the polar bear is mine. She’s already rockin’ that camera! I was so impressed!!! I love the reflection of Owen and the great composition/colors of the polar bear image- not to mention the killer graphic image of the monkey. Holy cow sister!
French Park
Saturday evening we decided to head up to French Park for a little hike and to watch the sunset. It was such a gorgeous evening. The boys wanted to swing a bit and then we took one of the hiking trails down to the creek. It was a little too much “off roading” for Elle’s stroller so B hung out with her at the top of the trail where she found a pole with her name on it :). Just as the sun was setting we found the perfect climbing tree. The branches were low enough for Owen to join in too. I’m so glad I brought my camera along.
Newport on the Levee
Whew, I just dropped Aunt B off at the airport this afternoon- what a whirlwind adventure we have had! I know the Speelman family did a great job of wearing her out (and me too). Here are some photos from our visit to Newport. After picking B up at the airport on Saturday we stopped for some Dewey’s pizza, a walk on the purple people bridge and a coffee/hot chocolate break at Starbucks. More pics to come!!!
Spring Break . . . Aunt B . . . Columbus visit . . .
Frankenstein and Abe
I’d like to introduce you to two of our newest neighbors- Frankenstein and Abraham. Aren’t they adorable?! Frankenstein (b+w doggie) is actually smaller than Abe. He’s jumping up at me in this pic so he looks deceivingly big. Truitt and Owen were having a great time walking the dogs- actually the dogs were walking them even though they are just little bitty things.
Jillian and Elle
This past weekend we had a visit from Elle’s cousin, Jillian. Joe’s sister and her hubby were in town with little Jilly for a wedding. They stopped by on Sunday for a brief visit. I can’t believe how big Jillian is getting. I love her “hair style” which is really just the way her hair has grown in. I’m hoping Elle will be lucky enough to have a little style of her own. Right now her hair is wispy bits of fly away hair- oh, and of course she also has the trendy horizontal bald spot that’s growing on the back of her head
. Seeing the Mudra’s made me giddy for Easter. I’m so ready to see the family!
Last batch of Phoenix pics . . .
I finished up working on most of my photos. These were all taken downtown Phoenix. I think one of my favorite shots is of the parking attendant. He happened to be standing there leaning on the sign and I couldn’t resist getting a shot. I asked him if he minded me taking a photo and he seemed pretty happy about it. I really need to figure out a way to send this to him. I also *love* the first couples shot. And how gorgeous are the eyes on the girl in pink?! I was pretty excited that I caught some sunflare- that’s never been easy for me. I also included the shot I took of our shadows as well as one of my fellow photographers jumping in the middle of the street. Great memories :).
