Young Love

My nephew, Nate and his girlfriend Carly- so sweet.  (Nope, still haven’t finished those camping pics :) )

A day at the pool . . .

. . . with the Gholz family.  I think we picked the *perfect* time to go to the pool today.  By the time we were ready to go, the rain started coming down.  Kelly and I are both getting to that time of the summer when we are counting down the days until school starts.  It’s always a little bittersweet.  I’m so glad we were able to get the boys together again.  They had such a blast.  Maybe we can sneak in one more pool date :) .

Class of 2010

Here are some more images from Paul’s senior session.  I also posted a couple of him with his sisters and with his momma :).  Aren’t they a great looking family? :) .

At the pool with Grandma

We spent the day at the pool yesterday.  It was a *perfect* day.  Owen brought along his flag (of course) and literally played with it the entite three hours we were there.  The first image is taken from under the water looking up- pretty cool :) .  Ben K. joined our crew and we barely saw the “big” boys (except at the rest breaks).  They were off at the big pool livin’ it up.  Elle stayed home with daddy and Grandma and I chatted, dipped our toes in the pool while I played with my underwater camera (I just love that thing!).  Thanks for coming Grandma!

Today we went to the pool with Grandma.  I gave Owen my underwater camera and he took about 50 pictures of his flag.  Everytime he took a photo he said, “Awesome!” or “Whoa!”.  However, I thought this photo totally deserved a “Whoa!”.  It’s so cool!  More to come :) .

Grandma is here!

I know, why isn’t she in the picture.  Well, I did take some with Grandma, but they are not the best images.  Cooperation was fading from my children by the time we got Grandma in the picture.  I promise I’ll get her on the blog.  We had a BIG day today.  We went to the zoo and then out to eat at Dewey’s on the Levee.  I think we wore Grandma out (I know I’m worn out).  Off to kick back with G-ma!

Btw, Elle’s dress is another “Grandma original”.  I love it!!!

Froggie

Oh my, I almost missed my deadline!  I’m going to sneak this one in 15 minutes before midnight.  This is one of my boys favorite camping “pets”.  You may remember Lily (the frog) from last year.  The one the boys loved a little too much (may she rest in peace).  They were much more careful this year and let “Froggie” go after an hour or so.  Andrea let me borrow her macro lens for a few shots.  I put Froggie on the hood of our car for his close up.  He really is a cutie :) .

My Girl

I love this little girl so much.  Elle’s new *thing* is to wrinkle up her nose, exhale loudly then finish with a very lady-like snort.  It is hilarious.  I have no idea where she got it from, but we all love it!  The top photo shows her primed and ready for a big ‘ole snort.  You can also see her top right tooth coming in.  I could just eat her up :) .

frecklephoto academy Workbooks

I have had quite a few e-mails inquiring about the possibility of scheduling another frecklephoto academy.  Right now, our family does not have a weekend free until November (isn’t that ridiculous!).  Basically 2009 is out, I’ll see how crazy our life is next summer and consider having another workshop then.  In the meantime, I’ve also had some inquiries about the workbooks I gave each participant.  I decided to make them available through my publisher, Lulu.  The workbooks mirror the information I covered at the workshop.  Of course, I was also able to elaborate and answer questions during that time.  The DSLR Training book also outlines the exercises we completed during the workshop.  Click the link HERE or the image above to get to my storefront on Lulu.  You can also click through the first few pages of the book.  The books are paperback, 15 pages and feature my photos along with the workshop text.  Thanks so much for all the support I have received throughout this adventure!

She’s actually inside your computer monitor . . .

. . . and you really need to clean your screen!  I’m still plugging away at the last of the camping pics :) .
