Ode to Summer . . .

I came across this gem tonight while I was looking for something else.  I still have a LOAD of images from the summer yet to edit.  One day I’ll get to it :) .

Nicholas Scott

Meet Nicholas . . .  he is the adorable first born son of Anne and Kris.  Ann and I teach together at the Junior High.  This little man was wide-eyed and bushy tailed during his entire photo session.  He is such a happy baby!  After talking with Nicholas’ mom and dad I know that he isn’t always this way :).  Isn’t he just the sweetest thing?!  Nicholas has some great parents too.

Edited to add:  The Roy Rogers pillow was made from Anne’s father’s childhood blanket.  I thought it was so sweet that Nicholas has a little piece of his grandfather’s childhood blanket in his room.

Fresh and new . . . meet Evan Lewis

Evan is just one day old . . . he is the THIRD Gholz boy!  Kelly and Justin are now card carrying members of the “boy trifecta” club.  Evan is the *sweetest* little baby.  We only stayed a short time.  The Gholz family had just gotten home from the hospital when we arrived.  However, I was THRILLED to be able to meet this little man and hold him.  It’s hard to believe it’s been nine months since I had a wee one.  Congrats, Justin, Kelly, Nico and Brooks!!!

Triplets . . . the pictures after the pictures

I had SUCH a blast with these three yesterday!  As you can probably tell from the photos above, they were awesome to photograph.  These are actually the photos we took after their more official senior pics.  To be honest, I haven’t even looked at the other images because I was too excited to play with these!  My principal, Karen Naber asked me to take her triplets senior pics.  I wanted to do something fun and a little different with them.  They have such a great relationship and I really wanted to show that in the photos . . . well, it wasn’t hard at all.  These three are truly the best of friends.  I’ll have more images to share later . .  stay tuned :) .

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Well, grandma’s birthday was actually last Monday, but since she came down today to help me out with the kids while I took some senior pictures we celebrated TODAY!  It’s been a crazy, busy day . . . two soccer games, senior pictures and birthday FUN!  It’s been (too many) years since my mom has actually celebrated her birthday with cake, ice cream and her favorite- red balloons!  Unfortunately, I forgot to get candles, so those are tea lights on the cake :) .  They worked just fine.  We had a great day.  I have some fun senior pictures to share of TRIPLETS!  Coming soon :) .

Only 11 days left . . .

It’s hard to believe the Capture Cincinnati project is already coming to an end!  I would LOVE to be published in the third edition.  This is my shameless plea for a few more votes, a couple clicks of the “love this photo” button and maybe a comment or two.  Just click HERE to see my Capture Cincy photos and THANK YOU so very much!!!

Such a good big brother . . .

It’s been kind of a crazy day around here, but we did manage to take all four kids to Kinds Island today (thanks Dana!).  I didn’t take very many photos, but I just love these two shots of Truitt and Elle.  Truitt has blossomed into such a wonderful big brother over the last several months. I have another photo of Truitt with his arm around Owen leading him through one of the lines at Kings Island.  It is not a great image, but when I saw Truitt taking such good care of Owen from across the way I got a little teary eyed.  I feel so fortunate that my kids get along so well and love each other so much.

On a side note, just after I took this photo they made us get off of the merry-go-round becuase Elle didn’t have any shoes on.  The poor girl sat in her stroller the entire time we were at KI- this is the only ride she (almost) got to go on.

One last hoorah at the pool . . .

Owen, Elle and I went to Blue Ash Rec Center today for one last dip in the pool.  We dropped Isaac and Truitt off at a friends house on our way.  Of course I had to take my last underwater pics of the summer.  Owen is my underwater muse.  He *loves* the water.  Elle was having a great time “walking” around in the shallows.  She’s been pulling up on things at home.  So I know she enjoyed the freedom of the pool.  She was moving all around.  It’s much easier to walk when you are floating and weightless :) .

My kids (can’t say my boys anymore)

B took this photo of me with all my kids . . . I just *love* it.  I wish we had one with Joe included, but he was out on the golf course when we organized this photo on the beach.  We had good intentions of getting a full family shot, but time just flies by at the beach.  It just never happened . . . there’s always next year.
