Here are a few more pics from Joe’s ultra-secret fishing spot. The light was *perfection* that evening. We were there during what photographers call “the golden hour”. You find the best light during the hour before sunset and after sunrise. We spotted three frogs just after we arrived which thrilled all four kids. The boys had a tough time keeping them in their hands long enough for me to photograph so Joe held one for me. Janie wanted to see the rocks that the kids threw. I don’t have a shot of them hitting the water, but you can see all four in flight here (note Elle’s rock off to the left). Joe took the boys back to fish the very next day. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot of this place. The only downside is that I believe Elle brought home a little friend. Last night I had my first ever tick encounter . . . I was seriously freaked out. Joe wasn’t around so thankfully my brave neighbor Tim performed the extraction. He did a great job- Elle didn’t even cry. I will be checking my kids every time they are outdoors for the next 20 years now!
