I know, I know- this is very old news. By the end of 2010 I found myself so overwhelmed with life that I just downloaded photos to my computer and then did nothing with them. I know this is a problem for a lot of people, but it’s not one I usually have. I don’t think anyone would describe me as a perfectionist, but when it comes to my photographs I definitely have OCD tendencies. My goal this year is to try to let go of that a bit. All of these images are SOOC (straight out of my camera). I’m starting to clean up my hard drive and I’m running into lots of memories that seem to be stuck there. I decided to post these even though they are about three months old. My blog is kind of like my personal journal or scrapbook. I want to make sure that these moments are documented. I am also terrible about actually printing my photos. My sister made a spectacular book out of the first 6 months of my blog back in 2006. I need to hire her to do 2007 until now. It’s an overwhelming task- I won’t be able to afford to pay her hourly
. If you have a blog or are thinking about starting one, check into Blurb’s “blog slurper”. It “slurps” up all the content of your blog and puts into a book format. Sadly, my blog is not compatible. Blogging is such a great way to keep friends and family up to date. Plus, it’s an easy way of recording life for those of us who are hopeless when it comes to scrapbooking!
Barb - Pretty funny that you never got to these. Of course, I am guilty of doing this myself at times. BTW I am also hopeless when it comes to scrapbooking. And, as for printing photos, I am probably the worst. I have so many pics on the external drive that have yet to go to print. Humm, maybe a good new year resolution for me this year. I really enjoyed babysitting the kids for a bit this weekend. Elle is so funny and sweet, and Owen……..I could just talk and listen to him for hours.
Jodi - What a nice surprise! Love the one of Elle trying to kiss the ghost!
Laura Speelman - I like the Halloween photos, since we hadn’t seen them.
Ann Marie - I do the same thing but I change the date on the entry to correspond with the event..nobody needs to know I posted it in Dec instead of Oct…and then its in order for me.
Melissa - Oh Ann Marie! That’s brilliant! I’m doing it!
Marci - Thanks for sharing…great pics are a treat regardless of when you get to see them. And Autumn is my fav season and its especially nice to see on a cold winter day!
