About me

I have always *loved* taking photographs.  Growing up we always had albums filled with family photos.  I contribute many of my vivid childhood memories to the photographs my parents took of me, my brother and sister.  I love the idea of documenting life- even the seemingly insignificant moments.  One thing you can count on is that everything will change.  Photographs allow us to hold on to those moments that are most precious to us.

I recently started dabbling in moving pictures.  Shooting and editing video has had quite a learning curve for me, but I am officially addicted.  Meet my family through moving and still images below.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Barbara l. Briggs - Dear Melissa,

It has been so long since I have looked at 300 miles and thought I would today. It appears things have changed and I need to register. Now you can see how mystified I can become with computers! How embarrassing!

You and your family are such a joy and I am looking forward to my daily “fix”.

Love,

Aunt Baeb

Johanna - Hi Melissa,

Can you tell me what instructions you gave your eighth graders for the large self portraits? I would like to do a project similar to this! It’s great!

Thank you!

Tonya Hardin - I love the clay shoes project. I am a student teacher and was wondering what the lesson plan includes for this. I know its slab, detailed, and for eighth graders. Can I get more information please.
