Bengals 101

Last Thursday I attended Bengals Football 101 for Women at Paul Brown Stadium along with Dana, Jodi, Kathy and Karen (our principal).  I was a little out of my comfort zone considering I am not a huge fan of football (not to mention my husband is a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan).  However, I had such an incredible time!  We had a great dinner, watched films in the film room, saw the Bengals locker room, ran out of the official “tunnel”, kicked field goals . . . you name it , we did it.  I hid behind my camera most of the time (which is my comfort zone), but my friends insisted I tackle the foam dummy.  I LOVED it!!!  Unfortunately the evening ended with an injury.  Jodi turned her foot and a ligment wrapped around her ankle.  I felt SO awful for her.  Not a pleasant way to end such a fun evening.  Jodi is doing well, but she’s on crutches for now (not easy when you have four kids).  Luckily her husband Matt is quite a trooper.  If anyone can handle flying solo, it’s him.  We all wish Jodi a speedy recovery :).

Sylvia - Melissa,
I was blessed to be able to attend the even 3 years ago. It really is a neat experience. I am so sorry that your friend was injured. Guess she really wanted that Bengals experience.
Here’s to her getting well soon!
Glad that you enjoyed yourself.

Dana Darbyshire - We had the best time and thanks to my father-in-law for being our driver. It is unfortunate that Jodi ended up hurt but at least she has a good story to go along with her injury.
