I put together a slideshow of Elle’s “everyday” pics after coming across some photos I had totally forgotten about. So, even if you’ve kept up with all my posts there are quite a few new images to see. Click the image above or click HERE to see the slideshow. Enjoy!

Elle Everyday: Forty-one days old
Here’s one more Elle everyday post . . . I found this pic on my laptop. Apparently I edited it on there while my desktop was out of commission. I’m still hoping to put all of these images together in a book. Maybe I’ll start working on that today since we are home from school AGAIN- not that I’m complaining! However, I will be complaing when we have to make days up :(.

Elle Everyday: Forty days old
My laptop is finally back in business, but I have no idea what the color is going to look like on this image as I rarely edit photos on it. My desktop is STILL out of commission . . . ugh! So, Elle Everyday will be back in spurts and most likely the days will be totally out of order. It’s actually a pretty telling of how life is around here lately! Today Elle is officially six weeks old- I can’t believe it! I head back to school on Tuesday (since tomorrow is MLK Day). It will be a bittersweet day. I will miss being with Elle so very much, but I feel fortunate that I love my job, my co-workers and my students(well, most of them). It makes heading back to work much more bearable.
Elle Everyday: Thirty-eight days old
Sorry I have been MIA . . . my pc is still not up and running (ugh). This photo is a little out of order, but since it was taken and edited by a third party I actually have something to post! This past Wednesday my good friend and photo buddy, Julie, drove down from Columbus to hang out and meet Elle. I know that quite a few of my blog watchers in the Columbus area have already called upon Julie to take photos of their families. You can see her website and work HERE. She is AWESOME! We will be traveling to Phoenix together in March for a photography workshop. I’m so excited! While she was visiting she snapped a few shots of Elle and I. I’m so happy to have some images of the two of us, especially since I rarely come out from behind the camera. Thank you SO much Julie!!!
Elle Everyday: Thirty-five days old
I’m still not up and running, but I remembered that I had already edited this image and saved it on my external hard drive. It’s more of a snapshot, but it shows how much Elle adores her daddy. Joe can get the BIGGEST smiles out of her. Sometimes just the sound of his voice will get her going. I was peeking over Joe’s shoulder while he was talking to Elle and she was grinning ear to ear. She is definitely a “Daddy’s girl”.
Elle Everyday: Thirty-four days old
This is where Elle spends much of her day, in a wooden cradle that was handmade by Bob Stover (a long-time friend of our family who is like an uncle to me). He made it for Isaac almost ten years ago, but of course all of my kids spent their sleepy newborn days here. When I saw Elle’s little hand peeking out I knew I had to grab my camera.

Here’s my little Annie Oakley. The Kowalski family sent Elle this insanely adorable pink cowboy hat as well as an equally adorable outfit. I’ve been dying to put the hat on her.
Today Joe and I worked together to figure out a way for her to wear the hat without one of us holding her. We recruited one of Owen’s teddy bears to do the holding. It felt a little bit like a Sears portrait session :), hopefully the end result isn’t too cheesey. Thanks so much Kowalski’s!!!
Oh, I included a color version so you can see miss Elle pretty in pink too.

I suppose this is kind of an odd photo to choose. I usually take 10-15 photos and then choose the one that stands out most to me. Today, this is the one that grabbed me. The sun came out for just a brief moment while I was taking Elle’s picture and it splashed right across her face. These January days have been so dreary it seemed as if she was wondering what in the world this warm little light could be.
p.s. Thanks for the *heart* blanket Aunt Kris!
