Halloween!
Here are some photos from Halloween! This is one of the toughest evenings of the year to photograph my kids . . . they just want to GO! Elle fell asleep just as we were about to leave for trick-or-treating. Oh well, she can’t eat the candy anyway! I snapped a few pics of the neighbor kids . . . SO cute!!! Baby Ella (the chicken) was born just three days after Elle! Isn’t she so adorable!!! The “other” Owen (the elephant) and his sister “Wivia” (aka Olivia the monkey) are two of my Owen’s best buddies. It was the perfect Fall night for trick-or-treating and hanging out by the fire pit with some great neighbors.
Oh, I forgot to mention that Owen did his own face paint
.
Street Party!
Last night was our annual street party. Many of you know that I live on the best street EVER
. I tried so hard to get at least one photo of everyone there, but I know there are about 10-15 people I missed (not on purpose- I swear). However, the one person that I can’t believe I missed is NANCY! I think she must have been hiding everytime she saw me with my camera. Anyway, we had a great time. Owen was pretty much the only one that went all out for the bike parade, but I’m sure he didn’t mind being the star of the show. The kids just love riding in the street since we have the city block it off. Our neighbor Jesse, who is a DJ for B105 provided some serious tunes- it was awesome! There was a ton of great food and lots of mingling with folks we don’t always get to talk to from down the street- good times. Thanks everyone for a GREAT time!!!
The Gholz Family!
I was so happy to finally be able to photograph the Gholz family. They are very dear friends of ours as well as former neighbors. Nico and Owen spent so much time together when they lived just two houses away. We all miss them so much! Kelly is expecting her third boy . . . sounds familiar :). I am so excited for them! Life will be craaaazy, but oh so much fun! Thanks Gholz family and don’t forget our pool date this Thursday ;).
Owen and Olivia
I spied these two sitting next to the sidewalk drawing pictures. I had to grab my camera and snap a few quick shots. Olivia lives two doors down. She has a little brother named Owen too. My Owen sneaks over to her house all the time to play. They are so cute together. Owen was teaching Olivia to draw flags (of course).
Our little Courtney is all grown up!
Frankenstein and Abe
I’d like to introduce you to two of our newest neighbors- Frankenstein and Abraham. Aren’t they adorable?! Frankenstein (b+w doggie) is actually smaller than Abe. He’s jumping up at me in this pic so he looks deceivingly big. Truitt and Owen were having a great time walking the dogs- actually the dogs were walking them even though they are just little bitty things.
Baby Macy :)
The Browns make us proud!
We have tailgated in our driveway with our neighbors for the last five years every time the Browns travel to Cincy to take on the Bengals. This is the first year we’ve celebrated a WIN! Our tailgate started nice and early today with delicious breakfast food. We broke out sloppy joes and the rest of the lunch fare around noon. I’m typing this at about 8pm and we still have a few die hards out on the driveway watching football. I didn’t take that many pics today. It’s a tradition to photograph Owen and his good buddy Nico in their Browns and Bengals jerseys. The boys hung out in the backyard and played in the dirt- they may have even eaten the dirt (note Nico’s mouth). They had a blast together. I have a feeling they will both sleep very well tonight. Come to think of it- I think I will too.
Thanks Mitchells!

I wanted to say a quick thank you to the Mitchells for letting us invade their Fort Walton trip each year :). This is our fourth trip to the beach with them. It makes the trip so much more fun with them around- not to mention my boys (especially Owen) loooove to hang out at their condo (and ransack their snack cupboard). Devin taught Owen a new song (”I Love Rock ‘n Roll” by Joan Jett) which he sings around 25 times a day. Of course Devin’s payback was that Owen woke him up everyday with a squeeky dolphin. Nancy, Tim and Devin also absorbed my boys into their family while Joe and I were at the hospital. The boys never missed a beat, in fact when Nancy explained to Isaac that I had to go to the hospital he said, “Oh, can we go to the pool now?”. Anyway, thanks Mitchells! Next year you’re going to have to keep one or two of my kids all week- we will have officially outgrown our condo!
