Elle Everyday: Sixteen days old

I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday . . . in fact Aunt B had to take this pic with her p+s late last night.  We had a very crazy and stressful day of travel.  B’s flight from Chicago was delayed twice (Phil sat at the airport for six hours only to have his flight cancelled).  Since I was picking up B from the airport in Columbus we waited to leave until we were sure her flight was taking off.  Meanwhile freezing rain was moving into Cincinnati all the way up to Shelby.  I left with Owen and Elle in the van and drove up to Cross County Highway to avoid the mall traffic.  I sat in stopped traffic only to discover a multi-car accident on the overpass.  All traffic was diverted onto 71 SOUTH.  Long story short we were in the car an hour and twenty minutes only to turn around at our very own exit (which had three accidents on that overpass).  The roads were a sheet of ice all the way home.  I was a nervous wreck.  Joe met me at an exit and took all four kids(what a sweetheart).  We all arrived safely in Shelby around 9pm after some “white-knuckle” driving.  Ahhh, it’s great to be home.
