I thought I would share the project my 7th graders are finishing up.  This is a variation of the Pinwheel project.  We study six different artists.  Each student traces their hand six times on an 18×24″ sheet of paper and dedicates a hand to each of the artists.  Students can choose their favorite for the background.  These are always so eye-catching and beautiful.  Plus, students love working on them!!  How many artisits can you name?

Jani - Vincent Van Gogh, Georgia O’Keefe, Piet Mondrian, Jackson Pollack, Op Art/Bridget Riley?, and Keith Haring are my guesses???? This post makes me smile. I love the colors. You should have an art auction sometime, I’d definitely enjoy a masterpiece like one of these 🙂
