Mel – thanks for the update. I am going to order the books. I am a Canon girl also. Canon 7d. I have the 24-70, 50 mm 1.4, 85 mm 1.8(my fave) & the 135. Any lenses you recommend adding or do you have a favorite?

Wow, thanks so much for all of the supportive comments everyone! I’m a little blown away! Kathy- yes, I just tweaked Ali’s templates to fit my needs. They are super easy to work with. Barbara- the books I wrote on Lulu went along with the workshop I taught a couple summers ago. One class focused on learning to improve your composition and gave some tips for shooting kids. The other class was more of a basic intro to taking your DSLR off auto mode. The books do not cover specific cameras/lenses. I am a Canon girl . My p+s is getting a little dated, but Canon has much newer models of it. I have the Canon Powershot SD1870IS and I love it. Anything in the Powershot SD “family” is great. This camera was recommended to me by another photographer and I’ll probably upgrade to the newest model soon. I use this camera (plus an underwater housing) for all my underwater shots too. HTH!

These books are so inspiring, and absolutely beautiful. My husband and I decided that we were going to do homemade presents for one another next year…and you just gave me my idea. These really bring tears to my eyes….just stunning.
