12 Weeks of Summer Challenge #5: Self Portrait

This challenge is definitely going to be challenging for me . . . my intention was to have it complete by today to share with you, but procrastination won out:).  This week we are going to create a 5×5 self portrait.  That means 5/5 second video clips of YOU!  You will have to get your creative juices flowing for this one.  The Instagram photo above was a reflection of me taken in a lamp.  For this challenge you can shoot your reflection, shadow or detail shots (hands baking, feet walking, etc.).  You can also recruit someone else to film if you would like.  It’s totally up to you.  I think the one thing missing from our documentation of the world is us.  I’m getting better about making sure I appear in some photos, but I rarely-  if ever appear in video.  Someday our kids will look back and wonder where we were!  I am not a fan of being in front of the camera and I have a feeling many of you probably feel the same way.  Take a look as this article if you need a little more coercion . . . http://www.huffingtonpost.com/allison-tate/mom-pictures-with-kids_b_1926073.html.  It really is important that you get in front of the camera.  We can do this!!
