Happy Fathers Day . . .

I wanted to share the photo my mom took for Fathers Day.  Those of you on Facebook have already seen it, but I wanted to share it here.  I absolutely love it.  She drove to Lake Erie with this idea in mind.  My grandpa passed away earlier this year so this is a little Fathers Day tribute to him (my mom always called Gramps “Father”).  My stepdad also passed away this year . . . I wanted to wish him a Happy Fathers Day too.  He was definitely in my thoughts and prayers today.  I miss them both dearly.

Jani - Fathers are important, so when one is no longer alive or not present in a person’s life this day is very emotional. The challenge for me this week was capturing a photo that gave a small piece of the wonderful person my husband was with his unique interests as well as sharing a moment with my daughter where we were remembering him and what he means to us.

Melissa - Wow Jani- such beautiful images, they really tell a story. I think you found the perfect way to photograph this weeks challenge.

Jani - Melissa, Thank you — I didn’t think about it as telling a story, you are right and what stories he would tell 🙂
