“Little Elle, Little Elle who do you see?”

Last night Elle asked me to read her “favorite” book (which changes nightly).  However, the book she choose just happened to be one I made for her and I realized that I never shared it on here.  My brother got me a gift certificate for a GIANT 12×14″ book with 40 pages!!  I was excited and also a little daunted by both the physical size of the book and the amount of pages.  How in the world could I fill 40 pages?!   At the time, Elle’s favorite book was “Brown Bear, Brown Bear” by Eric Carle.  She could “read” it all by herself.  I wanted to make another book that she could “read” so I made a book in the very same format, but added all of Elle’s friends and family.  The cover is an image of her taking a picture and underneath the title reads, “Little Elle, Little Elle who do you see?”.  Each page of the book has a photo of a special person in her life and the text follows the same format as Eric Carle’s book.  The last page says, “Children, children who do you see?”  and there are images of everyone in the book.  The beauty is that she can read the book to me:).  Sorry for the poor image of the book- I’ll try to post more images of the pages tomorrow, so check back if you are interested.  This would be a great little project to make for little ones learning to read or who have lots of family members who live far away.  I kept the pages super simple with large text.  If you decide to make one of these please send me a link!  I love to see it!!
