Week 2: Four Speelmans Weekly

It was such a beautiful evening tonight.  I rushed home from school (after buying 5 red balloons . . . one extra for the inevitable), piled the kids in the car and had about 8 minutes to shoot photos before the sun set.  I was planning on shooting the kids as silhouettes so they just left their school uniforms on, but ended up liking this shot the best. Guess how long it took for someone to lose their balloon???  Let’s just say that I probably should have bought two extra ;).

Jani - I’m going to love this project (almost makes me wish I had more than one kid since it isn’t really a challenge to get her in a photo). Of course, I started singing 99 RED BALLOONS in my head. It really is an awesome shot.

Melissa - Now I’m singing that song too Jani!

Tenille - This is great! Wish I felt like taking pictures in the winter…dark until 8 a.m. and dark again at 5 p.m.! Love that it is so candid!

Jodi - While I have agreed and committed to this photo challenge, I am not holding myself to the same creative, amazing standards that you have! 🙂 One of my shots is of all 4 kids fighting over power trucks in the driveway! 🙂

Laura - Love it!!!

Shannon S - What a great idea — I was not so proactive to do something when we had a 50degree day, but next time I will be ready!

Anna Roorda - Oh, how I love this! This would be a big canvas on my wall!
